Juicy and a beautiful cherry red colour. The nose shows an abundance of deep red berry fruit and hints of vanilla flavours. The palate is soft, full flavoured with a smooth easy drinking finish.
Sourced from small parcels of vines in the South of France and focus on intriguing varietals that are indigenous to that region.
Food Match: This wine can be enjoyed on its own but goes particularly well with charcuterie, casseroles or a simple daube of beef!

This Carignan is really very good value indeed for a reliable everyday drinking red, with a little bit of complexity which means it drinks well with most foods and would probably be fine to drink on its own as well. It's a good find - thanks to the previous reviewer for encouraging us to try it!Jonathan Hunt
Thanks to Orlando I now have a new bargain red. Wanted something not too alcoholic but fruity for a birthday bash. This really went down well with everyone. Really good deal. Have ordered more since. I do like a nice aged Rioja but this is great for easy drinking. Never had heard of carignan either.
