Paul Roberts Wines are now stocking the 2015 vintage as of January 2018. A blend of 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 5% Mourvedre.

Notes of garrigue, black and blue fruits are found in this medium to full-bodied wine.

Dark red in colour, deep in purple tints. Good clarity and good brightness. The nose is open with scrubland fragrances (laurel, rosemary) and something fresh, almost camphor (thyme). Then an explosion of black fruit with aeration (blackberry, candied cherry). Nice balance, typical of the successes of the Rhone Valley in this vintage. A perfect light oak complexity. The mouth is powerful, voluminous. Delicious sweetness from the outset. Tannic, but the tannins are well coated and smooth, so the balance between power and freshness is perfect.

Drink it during its first 3-8 years of life. (Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, October 2011). A rising star of the Southern Rhone, Bernard Latour was a tremendous find over 10 years ago. This must be one of the most serious domaines in the Southern Rhone. Low rendements of 30-39 hl/ha, impecable vineyards of around 32 hectares. The Domaine is in organic conversion but Bernard says little has changed in practice for generations. His is also building a temperature controlled chai to enable just one bottling and long term storage.
