A complex and spicy alternative to Rioja. Fairly deep violet in colour. Vibrant, berry fruit offsets spicy, floral aromas with some coffee notes coming from the 12 months spent in oak. Typically spicy black fruit palate with some structure and weight.

The Tempranillo and Cabernet grapes are vinified independently at a controlled temperature of 28 degrees C. After malolactic fermentation the wine is decanted and put in cask. While the wine is being aged for around on year in American oak it is racked twice. It is then bottled and kept for several additional months in the winery before being released.

Grapes: Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon.

Food Match: Ideal with roast meats, stews and casseroles
